Ah.. Yelp.. you have disappointed me.
We were looking for a place to go for breakfast and I came upon reading about this place, Our Families Coutry Cafe. Reviewers have all said it's a great place for midwest home style breakfast and hearty food. Hubby is a fan of country food like biscuits and gravy & country fried steaks.
This place is in the middle of nowhere by a bunch of new housing developments. Driving there made me wonder if I was going to the right place because it's all residential areas.
The place is homey. The servers are nice and efficient.
However, the food is a bit dissapointing.
It was bland and under-seasoned.
The meats were burnt and salty.
The gravy tasted like it's powdered from a package and not homemade. It said it was a sausage gravy but I have yet to find some sausage pieces in the gravy itself.
Just not a very consistant standards across all the items.
Our total bill for 2 breakfast entrees and 2 ice teas with tax came to $28.
For couple dollars more we could've gotten much better and bigger food from Hash House A Go Go...
